How do you choose the right tutor?

You want to hire a tutor who can help you or your  child the best to their ability.   The tutor should be qualified and knowledgeable in the subject area being taught.  It is also vital that you or your child are comfortable with the tutor.

The tutor should aim to make the session interesting and involving.  They should always be assessing that learning and achievement is happening against objectives agreed with you.  Homework is not compulsory, but most tutors will set some because it helps the learner to see if they can apply their learning independently, outside of the tutoring session.
