Judith Moore

I am a 48 year old mother of two teenagers and I enjoy playing golf and gardening in my spare time. I also enjoy watching live sport, especially football and cricket.

I offer 11 plus tuition in English, maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning and tuition for SATs. In addition, I am able to give support to children who aren’t doing exams, but need a boost in maths or English.

As a qualified teacher with five years of experience in local schools, I am familiar with the curriculum from years 1 to 6, having taught throughout both key stages. My teaching posts have included taking SATs booster classes for years 5 and 6 in both maths and English and one-to-one teaching. I have helped my own children to achieve places at local independent schools, so I am familiar with the process of 11+ exams.

My approach is to make learning fun and stimulating through a wide variety of teaching methods and resources. It is important to teach children in the way that suits them best. Often it is a lack of confidence that holds a child back from fulfilling their potential and I consider this to be an important part of the tutoring process. As I am still teaching in schools, I am familiar with the requirements of the curriculum and up to date theories of teaching.
